Welcome to San Francisco de Asís Catholic School

Welcome to San Francisco de Asís Catholic School’s website. It is my privilege as the principal to introduce and educate you on our wonderful school. The first Catholic school was established in 1895. The current school, formally known as Saint Mary’s, was built in 1955. All three parishes in Flagstaff were combined to form San Francisco de Asís Parish. The church sits atop MacMillan Mesa and the first mass was celebrated there on February 3, 2013. The school moved to its new location in 2016.

The overwhelming sense of family and community along with the Franciscan philosophy and spirit make our school truly unique. Keeping that sense of family and community alive is just one of the many traditions that we continue to foster both in the parish and the school.

Our school provides its students with strong educational programs that are designed to offer them the experience, the knowledge, and the skills that they will need to be contributing members of society. Knowing and practicing our faith is at the forefront of San Francisco de Asís Catholic School. As a school, we strive to grow closer to Christ.

In Christ,
Bill Carroll
